Sara began her career as a professional genealogy researcher in 2002. This was after spending several years researching her own family tree. Sara's interest in genealogy piqued after learning of her great-grandfather's unsolved murder in Detroit in 1950.
Sara believes continuing education is a fundamental part of enhancing each clients' family history experience. With this in mind, she earned with distinction, the Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies from the International Institute for Genealogical Studies. Sara is constantly taking new courses to keep up with the ever evolving DNA technology of genealogy research.
Sara is a member of several genealogical organizations including:
* National Genealogical Society
* Ohio Genealogical Society
* Association of Professional Genealogists (APGEN)
Fees are based on hourly research and any necessary expenses.
All of our clients are offered a free initial consultation via email. This starts with our request for a summary of any previous family history work done or known information along with your ultimate reseach goal. The information is reviewed. A research plan is formed to reach the desired goal. Only after a client has agreed to the plan is a retainer required to begin the actual research. We work with you to realize your genealogy goals and keep the process affordable.
